For a bit of fun at the Christmas buffet, Norma provided the materials for the members to makes these cute robin and Christmas pudding tree decorations, each with a space to hold hidden treat.
At our September meeting, Norma gave a demonstration of a square-in-square block and in October some members showed this technique incorporated into colourful quilts:
At the November meeting, members had a go at making a Christmas Bell tree decoration.

Here are two wonderfully illustrated pieces by Mags. The tops were actually made in 2008 but after thinking the pictures were fun, she then had to find something to do with them. So, using a small running stitch around some of the outlines, she put stuffing in from the back and added some embellishments, with fabulous results.

Norma presented her latest incubator quilt - love the design!
Robbie showed the incubator quilt she made for Kings College hospital, and handed it over to Norma who is co-ordinating the delivery of these quilts to the hospital.
Another member had been told by a mother whose baby had been the recipient of such a quilt just how much they were appreciated.
Norma has made this beautiful farmyard quilt for the Linus project, using oddments. The backing is a Clothkits printed fabric.
The lockdown restrictions have given Sue the opportunity to complete a couple of incubator quilts. The teddybear one started out as an exercise in trying out some free motion quiling, but after realising it was not as easy as she thought it was going to be, Sue ended up hand-quilting it. More practice required!
Mags made this lovely quilt "Let's find the animals" for her youngest grandson. She thought that making it into a game with bean bags would be a fun way of learning the animals and their names. Such a clever idea, and beautifully executed!
Yvonne Seymour showed her fabulous Christmas quilt, which was many months in the making. It was originally intended to be ready in time for Xmas 2020 but was not completed until February this year.
This beautiful row-by-row Colourwheel quilt was created by Diane. Such an excellent example of good point work!
Mary Batemen made this Apple Core quilt using pieces cut out over the past 20 years from all the materials she has ever worked with. There are no repeats in the fabric used, all pieces are individual. The design was inspired by floor tiles she saw on a visit to a Menorcan church when she was on holiday.
Back in late 2019, Diane gave a demonstration on how to create a Christmas Wreath quilt using the log cabin technique. Sue spent some of her lockdown time making one for her daughter in Canada, who she plans to visit in November.
